Gatlinburg

Just because Gatlinburg has a small town atmosphere doesn’t mean the area turns off at night. After the sun goes down, the region comes to life with twinkling city lights and fun activities for all ages. Whether you’re a night owl or just arriving in the evening, there are plenty of fun things to do in Gatlinburg after dark, so here are few of our favorite after dinner outings.

For Dessert

Those who have a sweet tooth after dinner can swing over to Kilwin’s of Gatlinburg, where you’ll find homemade ice cream, waffle cones, candies, chocolate and fudge. Sit outside to enjoy a relaxing treat, or munch as you explore downtown. Either way, you’ll get your sweet craving taken care of at this historic Gatlinburg eatery.

For Views

For spectacular views, ride the glass elevator more than 400 feet above the city to see panoramic views of downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at the Gatlinburg Space Needle. Don’t forget to bring your camera because this is one of the best photo opportunities in the region day or night.

For Local Flavor

For the 21 and older crowd, Blaine’s and Three Jimmy’s both have live entertainment and delicious drinks each weekend and most weeknights. Whether you want to sit down for a relaxing drink or hit the dance floor, both of these places are great for a night on the town.

The younger crowd can still enjoy the Gatlinburg nightlife with a round of mini-golf or a walk through downtown. Shops and attractions line the streets, so there’s no shortage of fun and family activities.

There are plenty of things to do in Gatlinburg after dark, but one of our favorite after dinner activities is curling up in a rocking chair at a log cabin tucked away in the woods. Timber Tops Luxury Cabin Rentals invites you to do just that and more at one of our Smoky Mountain cabins. Our guests enjoy game rooms, hot tubs and swimming pool access in some of the most peaceful and private areas of the Great Smoky Mountains. View our cabin selection today to find the perfect vacation rental for your family’s next vacation.
