Your Complete Guide to The Shades of the Past Car Show in Pigeon Forge TN

Come one, come all and experience the Hot Rod Roundup! The 2014 Shades of the Past car show in Pigeon Forge TN is revving up for its 31st year. This hugely popular event will return to the Smokies on September 5 – 6 with even more classic cars and family fun.

Location and Admission

The Shades of the Past car show in Pigeon Forge will be held at Dollywood’s Splash Country and the admission is $10 per adult and free for children under 12. If you are using a GPS, please use 2700 Dollywood Parks Blvd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863to locate Dollywood’s Splash Country. This event will run from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon. There are several parking options including:

1. A portion of Dollywood’s guest parking lot F will be available at $8 per car per day. Dollywood trams will run to and from the show entrance at no extra charge.

2. On Veterans Blvd you will find 15 acres of free parking within walking distance to Splash Country.

3. On Teaster Lane there are over 3,000 free parking places at the Pigeon Forge Municipal Parking Facility. From here, you’ll be able to take the Pigeon Forge trolley to Splash Country for just 50 cents per person.

What to Expect

Shades of the Past is the best car show in Pigeon Forge TN! You can expect to see everything from Deuce Coupes to roadsters, all made before 1972. A large majority of the cars you will see will be originals but you will also see some that have been modified and rebuilt.
