Winterfest in Gatlinburg, TN
The annual Winterfest Gatlinburg event will begin November 7th, 2011 and will be celebrated through February 28, 2012. The festivities are diverse with revelers having the chance to experience Gatlinburg’s more than 2 million holiday lights, which will begin on November 9th. Other activities include the Festival of Trees featuring dozens of decorated trees waiting to delight Christmas merrymakers in a snowy wonderland. The tree festival begins on November 21st and ends on the 25th.
The Smoky Mountains have hosted the Winterfest for over 25 years and travelers come from all over the world to celebrate this special occasion. Most of the town’s local businesses join in the festivities and it’s a great place to start or end your holiday season.
Gatlinburg cabins are available for reservations where you can discover a rustic holiday adventure. The town celebrates with different lighted displays arranged in a variety of shapes from America’s war veterans to Santa Claus and his eight reindeer.
