Get in the Christmas Spirit With Gatlinburg’s Festival of Trees

Enjoy a beautiful start to your holiday season with the amazing Festival of Trees charity event in the Great Smoky Mountains. Adults and children alike will adore all the brightly-lit trees, the wonderful smell of baked goods, and the one-of-a-kind crafts available at this Christmas event in Gatlinburg. When and Where

Gatlinburg’s 2014 Festival of Trees is scheduled to be held Nov. 26-29 at the Mills Convention Center, located on Historic Nature Trail Road. Activities will begin each day at 10 a.m. and will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Those in attendance may park in the city parking lot that is located on Reagan Drive.

What to Expect

Participants of all ages are sure to become filled with Christmas spirit when they find themselves surrounded by a vast array of amazing Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes that are decked out with wonderful decorations and blinking lights. You can also expect to see life-size Santa figurines and snowmen, fireplaces with stockings hung in place, and a huge variety of handmade arts and crafts.Tall Christmas tree

Your nose won’t let you miss all of the wonderful gingerbread houses either! A great many interesting gingerbread houses are expected to be judged in search of the most unique and best looking. There will also be some fun photo opportunities available.

All Proceeds Benefit SMARM

While there is no entrance fee for this event, a donation at the door would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will be used to benefit the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries. This organization works to bring emergency relief to poor, needy, and homeless residents of Sevier County. Food, shelter, and clothing are among the services provided to those in need.
