Afternoon Delight is a homely, elegant cabin located midway between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in the Smoky Mountains, 1.5 miles off the spur between the two towns. Enjoy the family entertainment, unique shops, and dining of both nearby communities along with being near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park itself. It is in the heavily forested setting of Wildwood Forest affording semi-seclusion as it is the last property on a private road.

The main floor living area features a queen size sleeper sofa, love seat, and recliner. A 42 inch flat screen is located above a stacked stone fireplace and features cable, premium HBO, and DVD player. The dining area has a lovely wood table and seating for six. The fully equipped kitchen offers a breakfast bar, refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, and all of your kitchen needs. For your convenience there is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer nearby. Completing the main floor is a bedroom with a Queen bed and a full bathroom with a jetted tub.

Out on the very private wrap-around deck you will find a patio set, charcoal smoker grill and the dazzling hot tub.
The upstairs has an entertainment loft that includes a pool table and darts which overlooks the widescreen on the main floor. The master bedroom is also located on the upper level, featuring a gas fireplace and a king bed with a private bathroom. Both bedrooms have their own televisions with cable for privacy.

EMAIL I SENT TO HOMEAWAY: I recently stayed at the cabin and booked through HomeAway for the first time. The property itself was sufficient. Although I have no major complaints with it, here are a few things you might want to pass on to the owners. The bed upstairs is falling apart and not sturdy. After sleeping on it the first night that way my husband climbed under and fixed it. It stayed that way for 24 hours and broke again. We were afraid to roll over for fear that it would fall down. The bedroom downstairs was not cleaned well prior to our arrival. We found socks that belonged to someone else, candy under the bed and the remote in the closet after being there for several days. Again, this is just info you may want to pass along. The purpose of my email is to discuss the additional costs that I was charged for but not made aware of at the time of my reservation. They are the following: $110.48 HomeAway Charge $59.00 Admin Fee $65.00 Housekeeping Fee At the time of booking, I was quoted $1,320.00 + $183.22 (tax) + $29.00 (damage) = $1,532.22. I have actually paid $1,766.70. I am requesting that the additional $234.48 be refunded to me as that is not what was originally agreed upon. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration of this matter. THEIR RESPONSE REGARDING THE BOOKING FEE IS THAT IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. REGARDING THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES BY TIMBER TOPS THEY SAID: With regard to your concern, I've checked your reservation and verified that the property you've booked is being managed by a property manager. This property manager is using their own software to manage their rentals and payment. Due to this, only the basic information of your reservation is available from our end. Specific information such as payment or method of payment are only available from the owners end. What I can suggest is for you to call or email the manager directly to discuss the return of your deposit. DUE TO THESE TWO REASONS I WILL NO LONGER USE HOMEAWAY TO BOOK ANYTHING. THEY CANNOT EXPECT TO GIVE ONE PRICE FOR SOMETHING AND THEN CHARGE SOMETHING ELSE. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU RECONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AS THEY ARE GIVING YOUR ORGANIZATION A BAD NAME. HOWEVER, WE DID ENJOY STAYING AT YOUR PROPERTY AND WE WOULD LIKE TO AGAIN. I WOULD NOT HAVE MINDED TO PAY A CLEANING FEE AND SUCH IF I HAD KNOW ABOUT IT. BUT WHEN BOOKED, IT LOOKED AS THOUGH ALL OF THAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE FINAL PRICE. I DO HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER REFUNDING OUR MONEY AS WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU.

Very good. Not a lot of water pressure in the showers and the hot tub didn't have much pressure with when then bubbles came on. Everything was great!

We had a wonderful weekend. Everyone was courteous and professional, even allowed us to check in early. The cabin was nice and clean, but it was a little dated. Staying in a cabin can cost a little more, but we have always been happy to do so because they are always so spacious, modern and clean. We just expected that again. After it's all said and done, it wasn't enough to ruin the weekend. Just wanted to let you know.
