Every year, the city of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee hosts some of the biggest car shows in the nation! Attracting thousands of visitors, these annual shows are can’t-miss events for anyone who loves (or owns) classic cars. When you visit the Smokies during one of the car shows, you will have the chance to see thousands of beautifully maintained hot rods cruising down the Parkway. Shades of the Past (September)

The 2020 Shades of the Past Car Show is canceled.

Shades of the Past is one of Pigeon Forge’s most popular car shows. Typically held towards the beginning of September, this awesome show is dedicated to classics, customs, and rods made before 1972. If you love ‘57 Chevys and Deuce Coupes, this is the show for you!

The Shades of the Past show is hosted at Dollywood’s Splash Country, which closes for the season after Labor Day. Splash Country is located at 2700 Dollywood Parks Blvd. in Pigeon Forge.

We suggest taking advantage of the free parking available in the large city parking lot on Teaster Lane and taking the trolley to the show for $1 each way. Admission to the show is usually $10 per person and free for children who are 12 and under.

September is the biggest month of the year for car shows in Pigeon Forge TN! Mid-September of each year, visitors to the Smokies can attend the beloved Fall Rod Run. Highlights of the Pigeon Forge Rod Run include an enormous swap meet with hundreds of show cars and a car corral, lots of door prizes, and special celebrity guests.

The Fall Rod Run will take place at the LeConte Center, which is located at 2986 Teaster Lane in Pigeon Forge. There is free parking for spectators on site. Admission to the show is typically $10 for the whole weekend.

The 2020 Fall Rod Run takes place Sept. 17 – 19.

Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge (October)

Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge has been a Smoky Mountain tradition for over a decade! As you probably guessed by its name, this wonderful car show is specific to Pontiacs. Guests will find beautiful Firebirds, GTOs, Trans Ams, Catalinas, LeMans, and Tempests. The car show’s swap meet is perfect for Pontiac fans in search of specific parts or a new vehicle to add to their collection.

Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge is held MainStay Suites in Pigeon Forge, which is located at 410 Pine Mountain Rd. in Pigeon Forge.

This year’s Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge car show takes place Oct. 16 – 18.

Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest (October)

front of classic carsThe Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest takes place in Smokies Stadium each year! The event features autocross, a swap meet, 50/50 giveaways and more. If you’re a car lover, you won’t want to miss attending this event.

Smokies Stadium is located at 3540 Line Dr., Kodak, TN. General admission for the event is available on the day of the event only for $8 per person.

This year’s Great Smoky Mountain Auto Fest takes place Oct. 17 – 18.

Spring Rod Run (April)

After a break for the winter, car show season heats up again with the Spring Rod Run. Much like its fall counterpart, the Spring Rod Run features hundreds upon hundreds of muscle cars in every make and model. Keep your camera ready so you can snap pictures of classic Corvettes, Camaros, and Cadillacs!

The Spring Rod Run is also held at the LeConte Center (2986 Teaster Lane). Admission is typically $10 for the weekend and parking is free.

Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion (August)

The Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion is one of the fastest growing Pigeon Forge car shows. In the past, the show included over 8,000 Jeeps and over 16,000 spectators. The Invasion features numerous vendors who specialize in gear for Jeeps, such as armor, sliders, and bumpers. Anyone who likes to go off roading in their Jeep will love this car show!

The Jeep Invasion is held at the LeConte Center (2986 Teaster Lane). Admission is $12 per day and free for kids 12 and under.
