What to Pack

Deciding what to pack for vacation can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. When you stay in our pet friendly cabins, you’ll have all the necessities for a relaxing stay. All you have to worry about bringing is clothes, shoes, accessories, necessities like daily medications and, of course, things for your pet! The best way to determine what to bring is to look at the weather. Then, decide what activities you’ll be doing while you’re here. We recommend packing comfortable clothes for exploring the outdoors, a couple nice outfits in case you decide to go to a fancy restaurant and a bathing suit if you visit during the summer. For your four-legged friend, make sure to bring some food, toys, a leash and lots of treats so he can be spoiled on vacation!

What to Do

While you’re here, you’ll be just a short distance from popular attractions in the area! If you want to visit Dollywood but are afraid to leave your dog alone in the cabin, you can bring him along with you! Although dogs are not permitted inside the theme park, Doggywood has kennels and pet cottages where your pet can stay while you explore the park. If you want to enjoy activities together, hike the Gatlinburg Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! The Gatlinburg Trail is one of only two walking paths in the park that allows dogs. Both you and your pet will love taking in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains side by side! And for a sweet treat after your hike, head to Mad Dog’s Creamery ! This delicious ice cream shop has 24 different flavors of ice cream, banana splits, milkshakes, funnel cakes and doughnuts. And it’s completely dog friendly! There are dog treats and toys for your pet, and even water bowls outside so your dog can stay hydrated.
