If you would rather see the sights of the Smokies from downtown Gatlinburg, then the Gatlinburg Space Needle is among the best options around! Located in the heart of the Gatlinburg strip, this iconic landmark and attraction will not only allow you to soak in the views, you can also learn some interesting information about the area with the displays they have at the observation deck.

3. Kuwohi Observation Tower

Another great Smoky Mountain overlook is the Kuwohi Observation Tower, which holds the record for being the highest point at Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Standing at 6,643 feet, it is no wonder that the views are pretty amazing from this location. On clear days, you can sometimes even see as far away as 100 miles!

The next of our scenic spots in the Smoky Mountains requires a bit of hiking in order to reach it, but Andrews Bald will make it well worth your time! During spring and summer, this mountain overlook bursts into color with the flame azaleas and more, and it is also an ideal place to view the changing of the leaves in the fall. In total, the hike to Andrews Bald and back is 3.5 miles, and while the trail does feature some elevation gain, features such as stone steps make it easier to navigate.

5. Gatlinburg SkyBridge

Finally, the last of the scenic spots in the Smoky Mountains that we are covering today is the record-setting Gatlinburg SkyBridge. This bridge is 500 feet above the town, and holds the record for being the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America! With features like a glass bottom panel in the middle, and plenty more to do when you visit the SkyPark, this attraction is a great way to have fun and see the sights.
