6 New Smoky Mountain Attractions Opening in 2020 You Can’t Miss

Everyone loves when something new comes to the Smokies! We want to share some of the newest Smoky Mountain attractions with you! From new restaurants to exciting things to do, there’s a little something for everyone coming this year. Look at these 6 new Smoky Mountain attractions opening in 2020 you can’t miss:

1. The Tower Shops

Part of the Mountain Mile is already open, but more shops and attractions are coming! REI Co-op will be opening in the Tower Shops soon, so you’ll be able to get all the outdoor gear and apparel you need. Mountain Rifle Coffee Company is also slated to open in The Tower Shops. They will be served Black Rifle Coffee, so you can try it any way you like! Junction 35 Spirits is also coming to the Tower Shops. They will serve custom spirits, along with all kinds of cocktails, and have delicious food you’ll want to try. You’ll also be able to taste wine at Currahee Vineyards, a family-owned wine company based in Georgia.

2. Expansion at Anakeesta

Anakeesta is expanding! They’re bringing even more fun and relaxation to you with these new attractions. They are building a 360-degree observation tower that will provide guests with incredible views of the mountains, downtown Gatlinburg, and on clear days, you’ll be able to see Kentucky. If you wanted another dining option at Anakeesta, your wish is coming true! Smokehouse BBQ and Brewhouse will have delicious barbeque dishes and cocktails. There will also be an area for kids and adults where you can cool down in the summer heat with wading streams and a waterfall.

3. Flower and Food Festival at Dollywood

A new festival is coming to Dollywood this year: the Flower and Food Festival ! There will be all kinds of beautiful statues and decor made of flowers. Nearly 500,000 flowers will be used throughout the park. On Showstreet, you will walk under an umbrella sky that’s full of color. Plus, special culinary creations will be available only as long as the festival is going on.

4. Pigeon Forge Chairlift

There’s not too much information released yet about this new Smoky Mountain attraction, but a chairlift is coming to Pigeon Forge! At the Pigeon Forge Chairlift , you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful mountain views while riding a chairlift up and back down a hill. Everyone will want to try this new ride!

5. Ruby Sunshine

Do you love brunch? Then you’ll be happy to know Ruby Sunshine is coming to the Smokies! You’ll be able to get omelets, eggs benedict, french toast, pancakes, and much more. Ruby’s also serves sandwiches, shrimp and grits, burgers, and other lunch items. You’ll also find all kinds of cocktails, from mimosas to boozy coffees.

6. Buzzed Bull Creamery

Speaking of booze, another new Smoky Mountain attraction coming soon is Buzzed Bull Creamery ! At this ice cream shop, you’ll be able to order ice cream loaded with alcohol! Try one of their signature flavors or create your own. Another cool thing about this ice cream shop is the ice cream is frozen with liquid nitrogen right before your eyes! So your treat is definitely fresh.
