1. Go Skiing

Of course, what is Ober Mountain without a little bit of skiing? You won’t want to miss the chance to have fun at Tennessee’s only ski resort! There’s plenty of slopes for all skiers, so you don’t have to be a professional or have any experience at all! Bundle up and take a ride down the slopes for a fun afternoon with friends or family. If you prefer snowboarding, you’re in luck! Ober Mountain also offers snowboarding lessons and slopes.

2. Ride the Tennessee Flyer Mountain Coaster

For those who are all about adrenaline, riding the Tennessee Flyer Mountain Coaster will serve you right. Enjoy the scenic view of the Smoky Mountains as you take zigzags and turns going down the mountain. The best part is that you can choose your own speed, going as fast as 25 miles per hour.

3. Take a Ride on the Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway

The tramway provides you with an exciting angle of viewing the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The tramway is enclosed, so the ride will not be affected by the winter weather. Enjoy the tram ride up the mountain with a friend or family and get time to connect over the best scenery. Don’t forget your camera because you’ll be seeing some of the best views of the mountains, high above the trees! The tram is the best way to get to the top of Ober Mountain.

*Tip: If you visit again in the fall, make sure to take a ride on the Aerial Tramway up to Ober Mountain because you can see all of the beautiful fall colors. This has been recommended as one of the best places to see fall colors by numerous guests.

4. See Wildlife
