Winter Magic Tunes and Tales Returns to Downtown Gatlinburg

The Smoky Mountains covered in snow during the winter.
November 6, 2013

Christmas is in the air inside one of the Smoky Mountain’s most magical cities this season! Visitors to downtown Gatlinburg will soon be able to step back in time with this year’s Winter Magic Tunes and Tales.

As part of the city’s Winterfest celebration, every Friday and Saturday night from Thanksgiving to Christmas, several carolers dressed as if straight out of a Charles Dickens’ story will stroll up and down the Gatlinburg Parkway, bringing the joy of music as they pass.

Along with the seasonally themed music, guests to downtown Gatlinburg will also enjoy the stunning twinkling lights throughout the city. Composed of millions of LED lights, the illuminated displays will put even the biggest Grinch into the holiday spirit. Friendly snowmen, toy soldiers, and playful black bears are just a few of the whimsical lighted sculptures scattered throughout downtown Gatlinburg this time of year.

This year’s Winter Magic Tunes and Tales will be November 29-30, December 7, 13-14 and 20-21 throughout downtown Gatlinburg. Admission is free. This year marks the fourth annual winter themed musical event for Gatlinburg.
