Every bride deserves a dream wedding, and to make sure that brides choosing to get married in the Smokies enjoy this special day, we at Timber Tops Luxury Cabin Rentals have put together a few tips on how to plan the perfect Smoky Mountain wedding.

Pick a Budget and Stick With It

One of the biggest stressors and point of argument any couple can face when planning a wedding is the budget. To avoid any headaches before they start, sit down with your spouse and plan out the budget for your wedding and honeymoon. By setting a budget and sticking with it, not only do you avoid any potential arguments, but it is also a good way to see where you are spending your money. Who knows, maybe once you look at all the numbers you two may decide to spend less on the flowers, so you and your loved one can enjoy an extra night in a secluded honeymoon cabin in Gatlinburg.

Get All The Legal Stuff Done Before the Ceremony

This includes picking up the marriage certificate and arranging for any name or address changes on accounts, credit cards, licenses, insurance policies, utilities, etc. The last thing you want is to return home from a relaxing honeymoon and have to deal with a pile of forms and documents that you put off before your wedding. You want this next step in life to be a clean slate of happiness, and happiness does not mean paperwork.

Don’t Stress Out Too Much

We understand, weddings are a big step, but that doesn’t mean you have to take all the fun out of them by stressing out over every little detail. Trust us, no one is going to notice is that one centerpiece on table nine has a different accent ribbon than the rest of the tables, and no one is going to care that the one of your bridesmaids opted for a French manicure than a colored acrylic. Take a moment, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the fact that you are about to spend the rest of your life with your best friend.

Have Fun

To continue what we said on the last point. Weddings are supposed to be fun and romantic, especially weddings set in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. You are surrounded by beautiful scenery, all your loved ones, and someone who is willing to love you ‘until death do you part.’ What’s not to be happy about with this?
