If you’re looking for a souvenir from Gatlinburg or a unique addition to your home, a shopping trip in the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community is an absolute must. Located off the East Parkway, this historic 8-mile loop road is home to the largest group of independent artisans in North America. Visitors to the Arts & Crafts Community will find numerous studios, galleries, and shops that are overflowing with beautiful handcrafted items. Some of the arts and crafts you can expect to see in the community include paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, quilts, baskets, brooms, wood carvings, and stained glass.

2. Dollywood

Dollywood is so much more than just roller coasters and thrill rides! Guests at Pigeon Forge’s famous theme park will have the chance to attend a variety of phenomenal music shows that are completely free with park admission. Whether you’re in the mood for country, bluegrass, gospel, or nostalgic songs from the 50s and 60s, you can hear your favorite tunes performed live by some of the area’s best musicians. Other highlights of the park include the craft shops, Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, the Chasing Rainbows Museum (which is dedicated to the life and career of Dolly Parton), and all of the spectacular restaurants. Be sure to try some of Dollywood’s mouth-watering cinnamon bread; it is irresistibly good!

3. The Island in Pigeon Forge

The Island in Pigeon Forge is a hugely popular shopping and entertainment complex located right off of the Parkway. Some of the shops you may want to check out during your visit to The Island include The Paula Deen Store, The Beef Jerky Outlet, Christmas and More, Patriot Peddler, and Puzzled. When you need a break from shopping, we recommend kicking back in the complex’s complimentary rocking chairs and watching The Island’s mesmerizing show fountain, which appears to “dance” to a number of hit songs.

4. Country Tonite Music Show

Country Tonite is another one of the best Pigeon Forge attractions for seniors. This unforgettable music show features classic country songs, a few gospel tunes, side-splitting comedy, and a moving tribute to veterans. A highlight of the show is watching Country Tonite’s youth performers: 17-year-old banjo virtuoso Willow Osborne and 12-year-old vocalist Shelton Tison. Guests at Timber Tops Cabin Rentals will receive one free adult admission to Country Tonite with our Luxury Pass.
