Handcrafted Gifts Made Right Before Your Eyes at the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair

If you want the most unique holiday decorations for your home and fabulous gifts awaiting your family members under the Christmas tree, then you should definitely plan to attend the Fall Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. This yearly fall event in Gatlinburg attracts some of the best artisans and craftspeople from across America, and it is always extremely well-attended. Read on for everything you need to know:

When and Where

The 47th Annual Fall Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair will be held Oct. 13th-30th at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, which is located at 234 Historic Nature Trail in downtown Gatlinburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $10 per person, and children age 17 and under will be admitted free of charge. This event has been voted as one of the Southeast’s “Most Popular Events” so be sure to check it out during your autumn vacation in the Smokies!

What to Expect

At least 200 crafting experts are expected to set up booths where they will offer demonstrations of their unique skills, answer any questions from the audience, and offer their work for sale. Items will include handmade quilts, perfectly sculpted pottery, beautifully decorated ceramics, and unique drawings and paintings. Each participant is subject to a rigorous jury process to ensure the uniqueness and quality of their products.

During the festival, there will also be things to do for all ages. There will be a kid’s craft area, where children can create their own artwork to take back home. In addition, There are a ton of music shows throughout the day that are well worth the affordable price of admission! If you are going to be in town during the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair, be sure to stop by to browse around and pick up some art work to take back home!

Live entertainment will be provided daily with an emphasis on country, gospel and bluegrass music. Shows will be held at noon and 3 p.m. Featured entertainers will include Monroeville Oct. 13-18, the Dennis Lee and Band Oct. 19-26, and Misty River Oct. 27-30. With the combination of art, music, and activities, you see why you should attend!
