Things never stand still in Pigeon Forge, TN! Our Smoky Mountain city is getting a number of new businesses and events that are sure to be a hit with vacationers. To help you make the most of your next getaway, Timber Tops Cabin Rentals has put together a guide to all of the new Pigeon Forge attractions and festivities.

1. Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud

One of Pigeon Forge’s most beloved shows is coming out of retirement! The Lumberjack Feud originally ran from 2011 – 2015, and after a brief run as Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure, the jacks hung up their chainsaws. Now, celebrity chef Paula Deen is reviving the Lumberjack Feud in a brand new outdoor venue. The show will star world-class lumberjack athletes who will compete in thrilling logging competitions, such as ax throwing, speed climbing, chopping, sawing, and log rolling. Audience members will even have the chance to participate in their own lumberjack-style competition!

The new Lumberjack Feud will also feature an 80-foot jump tour, zipline coaster, multi-level lumberjack-themed adventure park, and a fun aerial playground for kids. The show is expected to premiere in the spring of 2018.

2. Dollywood’s Spring Mix Festival

In April, Dollywood will introduce a brand new music festival! Known as the Spring Mix, this three-week celebration will feature some of the biggest artists and bands in the nation. The first week of the festival will include concerts from classic country singers and groups. During the second week, the Spring Mix will put the spotlight on inspirational Christian artists. For the third week, Dollywood will host classic rock bands, R&B groups, and other chart-topping musicians.

As with all of Dollywood’s festivals, all of the great music is completely free with park admission! You can see the complete lineup for the Spring Mix on the official Dollywood website.

3. LEGO Titanic at the Titanic Museum

Throughout 2018, the Titanic Museum Attraction will display the world’s largest LEGO replica of the RMS Titanic. This 26-foot long ship is made from 56,000 bricks and took over 700 hours to complete! The ship was constructed by Brynjar Karl Birgisson, an Icelandic boy who was only 10 years old at the time. Brynjar, who has autism, found building the LEGO Titanic to be a transformative experience. When he began the project, he could hardly communicate with others, but now he gives presentations all around the world about his remarkable story.

4. Music in the Mountains Spring Parade

On the first Friday in May, the city of Pigeon Forge will host the Music in the Mountains Spring Parade. This new parade will replace the annual Dolly’s Homecoming Parade, as Dolly Parton has decided to step down after 32 years as grand marshall. The 2018 parade will instead be led by baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr., who owns the Ripken Experience baseball facility in Pigeon Forge.

The Music in the Mountains Spring Parade will showcase Pigeon Forge’s wonderful entertainment. Spectators can expect to see colorful floats, performers from local theaters, marching bands, baton twirlers, choral groups, and dance troupes making their way down the Parkway.

5. Pigeon Forge Snow

Pigeon Forge Snow is one of the most eagerly anticipated new Pigeon Forge attractions. Expected to open sometime in 2018, this 35,000 sq. ft. indoor facility will boast year-round snow tubing! The attraction will use state-of-the-art snow-making technology to cover 15 lanes with fresh powder. Pigeon Forge Snow will also feature an awesome play area where guests can build snowmen or have snowball fights. Despite its wintry atmosphere, the attraction will stay at a comfortable 60 – 70 degrees throughout the year.

6. Mountain Mile

The Mountain Mile is a new shopping and entertainment destination that is currently under development in Pigeon Forge. Located at the site of the former Belz Mall, the complex is expected to feature a bowling alley, arcade, sports bar, gastropub, and a number of other restaurants and shops. The focal point of the Mountain Mile will be the Mountain Monster, a 2,000-foot tall thrill ride unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The Mountain Mile’s developers hope to have the Mountain Monster and about half of the shops open by the spring of 2019.
