Is there anything better than seeing Dolly Parton while you’re on vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains? We don’t think so!

This May 2, around 6 p.m., over 50,000 people will gather along the Parkway for the annual Pigeon Forge Dolly Parade. Dolly Parton will be the Grand Marshall at the head of the parade, so everyone can catch a glimpse of her!

Everyone is invited to attend the parade! It is absolutely free for everyone, so we recommend finding a spot early, if you want an up-close look! There will be a variety of musicians, local celebrities, dancers, handcrafted parade floats and much more, including Dolly Parton herself!

Important Details for the Pigeon Forge Dolly Parade

The parade begins at 6 p.m., but families will start lining the streets a bit before it starts. There will be a bit of traffic since the northbound lanes of the Parkway close for the event.

We suggest grabbing some dinner at one of the great restaurants in Pigeon Forge before finding a good spot to set up and enjoy the parade. The fun begins at traffic light #7 on the Pigeon Forge Parkway and will continue to traffic light #3. Visitors can expect all of the festivities should be over by about 8 p.m.

Extra tip: If you’re planning to visit Dollywood while you’re in town, do it during the parade weekend. You may get lucky, and see Dolly again! (She typically visits the theme park when she is in the area!)

If you haven’t made your plans yet, but you want to see the Pigeon Forge parade, give Timber Tops Luxury Cabin Rentals a call at (877) 549-6775. With beautiful cabins in Pigeon Forge, you can stay close to all of the fun and exciting things to do in the Smoky Mountains.
