1. They Added a Swimming Hole to the Stage

The Hatfield and McCoy theater was renovated to include some wet and wild fun! A segment of the show features a 22 ft. deep swimming hole that is filled with over 200,000 gallons of saltwater. The pool remains under the stage for the beginning of the show and makes a dramatic entrance as the story progresses. Flanked by a variety of diving boards, the swimming hole is the perfect place for the show’s talented cast members to really make a splash. You can even request a special “slash zone” seat when you purchase your tickets! Watch the hillbilly divers in action in the video below:

2. The Show Features Diving Dogs

In addition to the human divers, the Hatfield and McCoy show in Pigeon Forge also features some daredevil dogs! The show’s canine cast members will wow the audience as they jump right into the pool. The theater currently boasts five diving labradors: Jeb, Luke, Willy, Betty Lou, and Riley. According to the show’s general manager, Kimball Keller, the pups absolutely love being in the water!

3. The Theater’s Aquarium is from the TV Show “Tanked”

When you visit the Hatfields and McCoys in Pigeon Forge, you will see that the lobby is home to a very impressive fish tank. This unique aquarium was custom designed for the theater by the stars of the show “Tanked,” which airs on Animal Planet. Kata Hay developed a loyal following for her soulful singing on the NBC series, but she was ultimately cut from the show right before the top 12 contestants were chosen. Hay spent a decade performing in Pigeon Forge, including four years singing in the Hatfield & McCoy show.
