4 Spooky Events to Celebrate Halloween in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge

Halloween is just around the corner and soon the ghosts and ghouls will be out to play. On Halloween, there are always great events and parties for you to attend and take part in, and Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge hold true to this tradition. Halloween in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is guaranteed to knock your socks off at one of these amazing events.

1. Shocktober

Shocktober is an amazing event that is taking place in Gatlinburg from October 3 until November 1. This eerie event will provide you with a Halloween in Gatlinburg experience that you will not forget. There will be live shows and activities that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Highlights from this event includes: a tribute to Hitchcock’s black and white horror films of the 50’s, a haunted table unearthed from beneath an old castle in England, a tribute to Harry Houdini who died on Halloween in 1926, and much, much more. This Halloween horror event will make you gasp and laugh at the same time.

During Shocktober, Keith Fields, a world-renowned performer, will take you through this exciting, haunted event. Shocktober is to take place at the Iris Theater, located beneath the Space Needle.

2. Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival

The Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival is a great family event and an amazing way to spend Halloween in Gatlinburg with your family. The event is taking place on Halloween between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Visitors can take part in and see costume contests, costumed characters, games, food vendors, and a ton of candy, making this an unforgettable experience for people of all ages.

Last year over 1,200 children attended this amazing trick-or-treat carnival, full of Halloween fun. Also trick or treat safety tips will be provided by the Gatlinburg Police Department and the Gatlinburg Fire Department will offer fire safety tips throughout the event.

3. Halloween Bash at The Island in Pigeon Forge

The Island in Pigeon Forge is holding its 3rd annual Halloween Bash this Halloween. This spooky event is open to the public for free and also provides you with free parking. This is a great family friendly event that everyone of all ages can enjoy. Featured are costume contests, a costume parade, trick or treating, and for an older audience an after hours costume party at Dick’s Last Resort. The Halloween Bash begins at 4 p.m. on Halloween and goes until 11 p.m.

4. Ripley’s Fright Nights

If you want the scare of your life this Halloween Ripley’s Fright Nights may be exactly what you are looking for. You will experience more fear, more fright and more screams at Grimsby & Streaper’s Carnival of Curiosities perform for you, featuring your many sideshow favorites. This spooky show will be performing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October so don’t miss out on this frightful night show.
