1. Ski Mountain Coaster

Mountain Coaster

Over the past few years, mountain coasters have become very popular in the Smokies. Not only do you get the thrill of a roller coaster, but you are also treated to amazing mountain views along the way. On the first part of the ride, guests can just sit back and relax as the Ski Mountain Coaster takes you to the top of the hill. From there, the rider is in control on the way back down as they control the speed that the coaster goes! As you make your way through a variety of twists and turns, the carts can reach speeds of up to 25 miles per hour.

2. Wildlife Encounter

Did you know you can go to Ober to see many different animal species that are native to the Smoky Mountains? From black bears to river otters, there is a critter for everyone to see when they visit the Wildlife Encounter. In the Nocturnal House, you can see all types of amazing species, including raccoons, skunks, flying squirrels, turtles, and snakes! During your visit, you will also want to see the family of black bears. The exhibit is home to two parents and two adult children who live at the park.

This is also a great spot to buy presents for your loved ones who were unable to make the trip with you!

4. Alpine Slide

The Alpine Slide has been open since 1976 and is still one of the most popular things to do at the park. To get to this attraction, you can take the chairlift to the halfway point and then you are ready for the time of your life. The sled-like chairs on the slide are fun for people of all ages because you can control how fast you go with a simple lever.
