Anyone with a sweet tooth will definitely want to add a visit to Teaffle to their vacation itinerary! Located right on the Parkway, this brand new shop is the only place where you can find dessert waffles and bubble tea in Pigeon Forge, two sweet treats that were invented in Asia. To help you make the most of your next getaway, Timber Tops Cabin Rentals has put together a handy guide to all of the delicious desserts at Teaffle.

Take a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Teaffle

When Teaffle opened in July, local reporter Emily Stroud visited the shop to interview the owners and sample some of their wonderful goodies. You can watch this behind-the-scenes look at Teaffle in the video below from WBIR:

Waffles at Teaffle

In America, waffles are typically served for breakfast with maple syrup, butter, and maybe a side of bacon. In Hong Kong, however, waffles are a popular street food that are often paired with ice cream. Known as “bubble waffles”, these spherical waffles are made from a sweet, eggy batter that is cooked on a special pan with small round cells. The pan allows around 20 – 30 “bubbles” to form in the waffle. When cooked properly, bubble waffles are crispy and golden brown on the outside and soft in the middle.

At Teaffle, guests can customize their waffles with a variety of tasty mix-ins that are added to the batter, including Oreos, Fruity Pebbles, sprinkles, or chocolate chips. Once the waffles are finished cooking, they are folded into a cone and filled with your choice of ice cream and toppings. The ice cream flavors available at Teaffle include:

  • Vanilla Bean
  • Rocky Road
  • Peanut Butter Fudge
  • Birthday Cake
  • Sherbert Orange
  • Sorbet Berrywild
  • Strawberry Cheesecake
  • Butter Pecan

Bubble Tea at Teaffle

Bubble tea was invented in Taiwan in the 1980s and has been a popular drink across East and Southeast Asia for decades. The beverage is typically served with small black pearls made out of tapioca that sit at the bottom of the glass. Called “bobas,” these tapioca pearls have a soft and chewy texture that is a bit like that of a gummy bear.

Guests at Teaffle can enjoy two different types of bubble tea in Pigeon Forge: fruit-based tea or milk-based tea. In the fruit-based variety, the drink is made from a tea or lemonade base and enhanced with fruit flavor. Some of the flavors you can choose from for the fruit-based tea include:

  • Peach
  • Mango
  • Passion Fruit
  • Strawberry
  • Red Guava
  • Raspberry
  • Honey
  • Pineapple
  • Blueberry
  • Orange
  • Pomegranate
  • Watermelon

When you order the milk-based tea at Teaffle, you can choose from an even wider variety of flavors, including:

  • Almond
  • Banana
  • Chocolate
  • Cinnamon Bun
  • Cookies & Cream
  • White Chocolate Symphony
  • Strawberry
  • Watermelon
  • Vanilla
  • Papaya
  • Pistachio
  • Coconut

Cheesecake and Cotton Candy at Teaffle

As if waffles and bubble tea weren’t enough, Teaffle also offers a number of other mouthwatering treats! Teaffle carries official Cheesecake Factory brand cheesecake, which can be ordered by the slice. Cheesecake flavors include:

  • Peppermint Chocolate Chunk
  • Strawberry Wild & Cream
  • White Chocolate Raspberry
  • Chocolate Double Godiva

Teaffle also makes their own cotton candy right on the premises. Flavors include:

  • Razzleberry Sour Berry
  • Silly Nilly Pink Vanilla
  • O-Jay Orange
  • Jolly Berry Strawberry
